New Year New(er) North Hills

Coming Soon to North Hills!

nh

The Midtown area has transformed over the past decade and shows no sign of slowing down. Kane Realty Corporation has pulled off maybe one of the best fixer uppers in commercial real estate. The development, located conveniently off of the belt-line, is home to many restaurants, shops, apartments, open-areas, a movie theater, bowling ally … you get the point – it has it all. That being said, what more could they add? Here is a list of what’s coming to North Hills in 2016.
North Hills has many residential properties on site and is adding another in 2016. Construction has begun on Park Central, a mid and high rise apartment building located by Midtown Park. The Park hosts many concerts, activities and events year round for the community so this is a prime location for the North Hills resident. The apartment is scheduled to open in 2017 and will have 285 apartment units, about 35,000 square feet of street-level retail, an 8th floor amenity space with a swimming pool and outdoor kitchen and dedicated, full-time concierge service just for residents.
In 2015 North Hills hosted more than 450 events, programs and promotions. Coming soon to the events list will be Sunday FUNdays on May 22, June 5 and June 12 with live music and specialty drinks on the lawn at Midtown Park.
The most noticeable addition to the North Hills skyline would be the Bank of America tower, which is close to completion. One addition that might be hard to spot through all of the construction is the “overlook stairs” project. A tiered walkway area being built between the CAPTRUST tower and the Bank of America tower. This project is designed for pedestrians coming to and from the main Six Forks Road crosswalk connection to North Hills’ Main District. The Stairs will feature a structure similar to the steel beam amphitheater stage at  Midtown Park.

Other additions to North Hills include:
A Raleigh favorite, Quail Ridge Books, will be moving from Ridgewood shopping center to North Hills in 2016. It will be located in the Lassiter District where Traditions by Anna bridal boutique is currently.
Adding to the North Hills skyline, the proposed 28 story Tower III will be located in the Park district. The 18 story Bank of America tower (Tower II) is almost completed and Tower 4 is now available for pre-leasing.
There are places to live, work and play at North Hills and another addition to the Live category is The Dartmouth. A 171-unit apartment building is predicted to open in July of 2016 and the Cardinal, a continuing care retirement community is planned to open in the fall.
For temporary residents of North Hills, there is another hotel option coming to the area. The new AC Hotel by Marriott will be open in 2018 but is already under construction.
