Coupon cutting must be a top hobby in North Carolina because both Charlotte and Raleigh made it on Coupon.com‘s annual list of America’s 25 Most Frugal Cities. The two major North Carolina cities had savings in the millions: Charlotte, at the #3 spot clipped 8.4 million coupons with savings of $11.35 million and Raleigh came in a few spots behind at #9 with clipping 6 million coupons to save $7.94 million.
Coupon.com establishes their list based off of a ‘Savings Index” that’s based on total possible savings in addition to coupon transactions used by frequent coupon users and only in cities with a population over 1.5 million.
