How you can best communicate with your agent

Buying a home can be a stressful. You want to find your dream home at the right price and in a timely manner. The easiest way to make sure the home buying process goes smoothly is to communicate effectively with your agent.

If you can find a real estate agent who you feel comfortable working with and talking to, finding a home will be much easier. These tips will help you communicate effectively with your real estate agent, and get you into your new home sooner.

  1. Don’t stress about the lingo – There is a reason that we are the professionals! If you have a question or don’t understand something, all you have to do is ask! That is what we are here for.
  2. Tell us exactly what you want – If you really need 4 bedrooms and an attached garage, tell us! Don’t be afraid of missing out on a property if you tighten up your search. You don’t want those 3 bedrooms houses with no garage anyways!
  3. Ask questions – Real estate transactions can be long and complicated, which is why you have an agent. If you are unsure of what you are or should be doing, you don’t understand something, or you want an update, let your agent know! We want you to be comfortable and confident in the process.
  4. Trust your agent’s negotiation skills – We have spent years negotiating for our clients, so if we suggest something, listen to us. We will ultimately do what you want to do, but we have the experience and your best interests at heart.
  5. Let us handle the closing – Closing day can be tricky because everyone needs to be on the exact same page at the right time. Let your agent communicate dates, times, and which documents to bring. We are here to make your closing successful and stress-free.
  6. Come to us at any time – We are here for you whenever you need us, even after closing. Our clients are forever clients and we want to make sure you are happy and taken care of.
