Does it matter how many listings a real estate agent currently has?

There was a great overview article posted on Fox News website last week about how to choose the right real estate agent and although I agree with most of the content, I think it matters how busy and agent is… So, does it REALLY matter how many listings an agent currently has?

Absolutely, a real estate agent’s business strategy can directly influence how much time you receive as a client – for example, if you are hiring them as a selling agent and they are a solo agent with no assistant and carrying 10-15 listings, their level of service is most definitely lessened by them being pulled in multiple directions. Where a team approach, similar to the way Wilson Realty Group is setup, with the appropriate team players in place, assures you get the attention you need and deserve when you need it. An example, if you work with a solo agent and they go on vacation or are out sick for the week, who will show you a new property when it hits the market? Our buyer agents have great rapport with one another and are available to jump into action and cover for one another when necessary – it’s a great team dynamic!
