This month love is in the air at Wilson Realty Group. We love what we do! Helping clients buy and sell their Raleigh homes is our passion. And we love where we get to work and call home. The Triangle! There are so many reasons to love the Triangle. From the excellent Universities and Hospitals, to the great climate and close proximity to both the beach and the mountains, the Triangle area has something for everyone! We asked  our team what their favorite things are about living in the Triangle. Whether you are a Raleigh native or new to the area, there is something on this list for everyone! And be sure to check back Thursday with even more reasons why Wilson Realty Group loves the Triangle!

“The Triangle is a FANTASTIC place to live, work, and play.  Downtown Raleigh is my very favorite part of the Triangle.  There are so many parks and hidden gardens around this part of the city that you could park your car and explore for hours.  A true hidden gem of the city is the Halifax Mall.  It is a huge grassy mall where you can spread out  a blanket and have a picnic or bring your dog for a game of fetch (on leash of course).  The Mall is located behind the government complex off of Lane Street and can also be accessed from Wilmington Street.
Another great area hidden just outside of Downtown proper is the Raleigh Municipal Rose Garden.  It is truly a magical spot.  It is also where I was married so I may be a bit partial.  There are 2 bloom cycles during the year, one in early to mid spring and the other late summer.  This little piece of heaven is located off of Pouge Street.”

“I love that in Raleigh you can take advantage of the big city feel while living in a quiet, more rural location with land… and you’re still only 15-20 minutes away from all the action! And with great venues for festivals, events, concerts and sports, there is always action!”

“I love downtown and all it has to offer, especially all the local restaurants. If you love outdoor activities like I do, you will not be disappointed in your options there either! One of my favorite things about the area is that it is constantly growing. There are so many new people moving to Raleigh and everyone is so friendly!”

“Originally from Ohio, what drew me to the Triangle is… the Triangle! The fact that within minutes you can be in Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill. And these areas all offer so much! From great employment at one of the many Universities, Hospitals or companies within Research Triangle Park, to the education opportunities at NC State, UNC and Duke, and the sporting events throughout the year… the Triangle has it all! Living in Durham, I love the Tobacco District. One of my favorite things to do is eat on the patio at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Durham while taking in a Durham Bulls game! If the sport scene isn’t your thing, there are museums, Broadway shows and excellent shopping malls to keep you entertained. My personal favorite mall is Streets at Southpoint in Durham. You will definitely not get bored living in the Triangle!
Aside from the Triangle itself, the other reason I moved to Raleigh is the easy access to the beach! I can be at the beach in just a couple of hours thanks to I-40. If you’re a mountain lover, don’t worry! You’re just a few hours away from the mountains as well!”

“I love the Greenway System and the easy access to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill (the Triangle).  Not to mention the easy day trips to the Mountains and the Beach!”
