WalletHub, a financial services website, released their 2015 List of Cities for Wallet Wellness and Raleigh was picked as #1 in North Carolina. What is Wallet Wellness? Wallet Wellness is the correlation of physical, emotion and financial well-being. Because when one is off it has an effect on the other factors. Raleigh being named the #1 spot for Wallet Wellness means residents have a balance between their physical, emotion and financial well-being and are generally satisfied with the three.
Many factors, such as affordability, average credit score, average commute time, income growth rate and foreclosure rate, were considered when making the list. While Raleigh ranks 32 overall it does reach the top 5 in the Best Gallup Well-Being Index which indicates the overall satisfaction of residents.
