The town of Creedmoor, the next frontier in the RTP Real Estate market?

I was really unsure when I read the article in the News and Observer plugging the city of Creedmoor as the next Holly Springs of the Triangle real estate market… after all, Holly Springs was on America’s Top 100 places to live in 2009. I think Creedmoor has location, location, location (with access to Research Triangle Park, RDU airport only a few miles away), but it is lacking in amenities, such as shopping and restaurants. One big draw, however, is the close proximity to Falls Lake – which could be a major decision maker for those outdoor enthusiasts that flock to the Triangle from cooler parts of the country. The planning and zoning department has started to “connect the dots” and recently made major investments in water and sewer improvements and sidewalk installation that will eventually become part of a Greenway plan. One surprise that I discovered when researching the town was that Creedmoor has been ranked 5 years in a row as a “Playful City USA Community”.
