HGTV’s Love It or List It has moved to the Triangle!
The producers of the long running show, Love It or List It have brought the show and it’s famous duo, David and Hilary, to the Triangle. The show lets homeowners choose between keeping their newly renovated house and ‘Love It’ or to ‘List it’ and buy a new home. They started shooting in North Carolina in 2014 but they aren’t slowing down production. So far, they have shot 21 episodes and plan to shoot at least 5 more. With 13 episodes in a season it looks like the Triangle will be getting a lot of air-time!
Hilary, the interior designer on the show, often has to handle the impossible task of fulfilling the homeowners wish-list while staying in budget. David, the real estate expert, also seems to struggle with finding an available home that satisfies both homeowners. The producers do a great job at keeping the episode suspenseful and often viewers have no clue what the homeowners final choice is going to be. In the 13 episodes that have already aired 8 of the homeowners ‘loved’ what Hilary did with their home and decided to stay. Producers say they were drawn to the Raleigh-Durham area because of its growing real estate market that is well rounded with classic and contemporary homes with a large range of incomes as well as architectural styles.
Love It or List It airs September 21 at 9pm on HGTV.
