Two Triangle Neighborhoods Top the Nation’s List for ‘Green’ Homes!

A list of the top ‘green’ neighborhoods in the U.S. was released with two triangle neighborhoods among the top ten!

Data analysts at Redfin compared home listing descriptions in 20 major metro markets, including the Triangle. Carpenter Village in Cary and Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill both made the cut! Carpenter Village is a well-established neighborhood in northwest Cary. This northwest Cary community topped the charts with 37 percent of its home listings detailing green or energy-saving features. Carpenter Village was not far behind the top two neighborhoods, Valley View in Chicago and Mueller in Austin, which were only 2 percent higher. Briar Chapel, though still under development by Newland Communities, this community ranked at No. 10 with 26 percent of its for-sale listings including details about green features and amenities.
