Median Sales Prices Rebounding

North Carolina home sellers are reaping the benefits of the recovering economy. While the increases may not be uniform across the board, sellers who have been on the fence may find that now is the time to sell!

A look at closings in the month of February, 2015 reveals that the District of Columbia holds the most expensive median home prices, coming in at $467,500. At a state level, North Carolina came in as the 32nd most expensive state to buy a home.

Within the Tar Heel state, Dare County had the most expensive median home prices in February, coming in at $288,000. This was an increase of 16.13% from that same time last year!

  • Wake County saw a median sales price of $219,000
  • Orange County came in at $207,500
  • Durham County’s median sales price was $180,100

  • The highest median sales price was in Union County at $216,000
  • Mecklenburg County saw a median sales price of $178,000
  • Cabarrus County came in at $176,250
  • Gaston County’s median sales price was $108,000
